Hi guys, I just bought a hifonics 1208D mono amp. I am now going to find and buy two 12-inch subwoofers. I have read the wiring page but still not sure what I need.

If I want my amp to run at 1-0hm do I need to buy 2 DVC 2ohm subs or do I buy 2 DVC 4ohm subs? Parallel wiring is what I need to do, but does 4-ohm DVC make the amp see a 1-0hm or 0.5-ohm?

Also just to be sure I understand before I waste all my money, parallel wiring means this.........+ to speaker + and - to speaker - from amp. Then wire the + and - of the other VC together on the same speaker?

I am sure you guys see this question alot but i could not find it laid out simple and I am kinda, well i am new to this. Thank you for your time and help in this.

if you want a 1 ohm load with two subs they have to be either SVC 2 ohm or DVC 4 ohm or QVC 2 ohm.

You are correct about 2 dual 4 ohm coil subs. Just parralel each coil on one sub so the sub will be 2 ohm then connect it to the other one so you will have 2 2 ohm subs which when together will give you 1 ohm. Hope that didnt confuse you.
