hey guys...im new here. my friend and i both bought hollywood edge subs from a guy we worked with. the guy used to own a car stereo shop, but it went belly up. so he had a bunch of surplus inventory at his house. both the subs were brand new. i got a 15" dvc, and my friend got the 12" dvc. anyway, we both were running around 300 watts rms...which sould barely touch the hollywood. he was running a bazooka single channel w/ 12db boost. i was running an audiobahn with 18db. anyway, both the subs blew up within a month. his actually only lasted a week or so. so is this common for a hollywood edge? ive always heard good things about them (it sounded great too). and everything else i bought off the guy works fine to this day, so im pretty sure he didnt ripped me off or anything. (the dates on the pics are all messed up..they are about 6 months old) the box the hollywood came in. here is a pic of my 15" another pic w/ it in box pic of my audiobahn amp on the back of the speaker box.
