Im getting ready to build a wall for my cerwin vegas in my ranger. Im selling the box that i just built. I have heard birch is the best wood to use for boxes. What do yall recommend, 3/4" birch, or 3/4" mdf or 3/4" plywood?

Well my dad builds cabinets and I think he has a few sheets of birch layin around and I wanted it to not be so heavy. That's why I was askin but ill prolly stick with mdf.

MDF is the way to go.

The tinsel strength of ply wood doesnt compare to the more sturdily pressed MDF, with ply wood you wind up getting a little more flexing in the box itsel, and losing some amount of presure, deoptomizing your box design. ide stick with MDF
