if there the same brand and size, is there a difrence in quality and or clearity? i just dont want to mess with a tweeter.
what 2 way are you talking about?, because components are usually a 2way, or do you mean coaxial speakers, well thats what meant, then definitely component is better and more sq and gives you more option in imaging and staging,
well if you get a high end comps, its common that it would come with a nice x-over, try Bewith,CDT,zapco, dynaudio, diamond audio,pg
For 99$ I Could Get A Pair Of Cdt With A Silk Dome Tweeter Wich I Herd Is Better Than A Hard Dome I Think.
i meant the crossovers are better than the cap the you get with coaxial speakers. 99 bucks. nice! get em.
polk FTW, comps will pretty much always sound better. instead of a capacitor blocking the low frequencies for the tweeter you'll get a full fledged crossover and uses more octaves which usually produces a smoother sound. plus from what i've noticed comps have higher power ratings due to proper isolation of the sound frequencies to each speaker.
i wonder? do you get the same speakers from a coaxial set that you get when you buy a comp set?or slightly better? aside from the xover and tweeter mounting hardware.are they the same...
Typically there is not that much difference. I really prefer co-axials. Thats what I use in my truck. Installation is greatly simplified. You dont need to find a place for a crossover and a tweeter. Also many components really need an external amplifier to sound there best, while most co axials are designed to work with deck power (addition power from an amp just makes them sound much better).
