I need to buy HEAD UNIT pre so which brand and model to go for ?? Need HU with best sound quality in terms of clarity, signals seperation, detailing, smoothness and imagining..... There are many brand and models availables in market.... And i heard different opinion from different people like: Alpine is the best in terms of clarity and crispyness of sound but lower model are not good??? Pioneer is good for highs and smoothness but MID is not clear or pleasing ?????? Kenwood is neutral... but what neutral means???? Few models of JVC and Sony are also good and competitive ?????? Difference in SQ of lower models and higher models ??????if it is then what is the difference???? can anybody have experienced it???? But again i am not sure which brand and model to go for which fulfills the requirement mention above...... So please give your valuable suggestion and also share your past experiences or any comparison you have tried that would be more helpfull... Cheers!!!!!!
WOW, this will be one subjective thread. I have personally used Both Alpine and Kenwood in my truck and I liked both units. The Alpine is a simple unit, easy to use. The Kenwood had a lot more adjustments but still easy to use. In my opinion the Alpine sounds a little better. My son and wife both have Pioneer, sounds good, but they have alot of adjustments that can be made. The Pioneer can be a little complicated, but it still sounds good. All these units sound good, so I guess you should see what options you need and select that way.
I have always used Alpines except once I used a Panasonic, they all sounded good. It really depends on the amount of equalization available, the more bands available the more likely you will be able to get it to where you like it and if your going to be using amps the preout voltage will make a big difference in sound quality. I do have a friend that has a Pioneer and it sounds very nice as well.
