I need some material to mount a speaker in my door to cover some open space (I have 4x6 hole and I'm buying a 5.25") and I need some thin (1/8"- 3/16") rigid plastic. What's the best type to go with? I don't know anything about plastic properties. Acrylic? Plexiglass? The plastic is going inside the door panel.

why not use fiberglass, and make a mold, or use mdf and cover it with felt, or carpet..?

I know nada about fiberglass. Can you drill thru fiberglass? I guess I'll have to educate myself about it.

(That's Nikki Benz. XXX wonder and then some. She'll make your dreams come true. She and Jenna Jameson would make a wonderful pair.)

Yes you can drill through fiberglass...but it will crack of you do not have some kind of wood behind it to do the holding.

Thanks for the info. So if you attach a screw or bolt to it it might crack?
