Ive been searching the internet for a new amp for my subs that meet these requirements: 1000W x 2 @ 4ohm Dash mount control - preferred but not needed. Not too expensive, but im willing to spend some more for quality. So ive found a Pyle- PLA2378, in more experienced opinions, would this be suitable? And should i get a capacitor along with my system?
I am going to vote for a absolute NO on that amp. It will not meet your expectations. If you want a TRUE 1kwx2 you will need to spend some money. A 100 dollar amp cannot and will not do as it claims in the link you posted. thats just the cold hard truth. Might look elsewhere is my opinion of this......
there are many good amplifiers, some better than others. remember that when you buy a amp always leave room for upgrade, in other words get more amp than you need and it will save you money in the long run. now Pyle is not what i would call a good amp, stay away. as far as a cap, by no means waste a penny on one. now what are you wanting to use the amp for (bass,mid-high,full-range),are you looking for spl or quality,both?
lots are true believers of Audio pipe including me. cheap, true, clean power. AP15001d or ap18001d would get you close at 4ohms. or you could get the ap30001d and you would have some extra power if needed, and they should come with a fuse block and bass knob
Very true steve. Do not waste your hard earned cash on a cap, money is far better invested in upgrading the electrical sytem...read the big 3 sticky
Thanks for the opinions, I dont want to waste my money on garbage amps, so a cap wouldnt be necessary for my electrical system, Ive got 4ga for everything and short as possible lengths. And what im going for both quality and spl.
if u want good performance at a bargain order your self a power acoustik bamf 5500d or a omn1 5500d right around 200 bucks and very powerful for the cash! most people have never truly tested the pa stuff its actualy good for how cheap it is! ill put it right up there with audiopipe by all mean's! plus with these amps if u wanted u have room for an upgrade on the sub later
the AP15001d and AP18001d can be strapped ( AP15001d to AP15001d or AP18001d to AP18001d ) if you later decide to up grade. are you some what new to audio, cause if you are you will want more, trust me.
