Hey everyone. My name is Rick. I recently leased a 2008 Toyota Tundra. I will be having a satellite plug and play radio installed but I need to upgrade the sound too. Problem is, being that the truck is a lease and my budget is tight, I really don't want to spend more than $100.00 on the amp. I was going to purchase a Pioneer GM-4300F which is being sold on Ebay for dirt cheap but my installer said Pioneer amps suck. His list of quality amps included Kicker, Alpine, JL, and Memphis, but most of those amps will blow up my budget. I've done some searching and found a nice amp from Kole audio (Kole Audio Xp4-720 Nitric Series Amplifier [4-channel X 85w]) for just over $100.00., but I never heard of Kole Audio. You guys are the experts. What are the best 4 channel amps in the $100-140 range? Thanks!!
Hi Rick, Welcome! Any of these amps would be good for you: NEW HIFONICS ZXI4406 4 CHANNEL AMP CAR AUDIO AMPLIFIER - eBay (item 270211531722 end time Feb-22-08 17:59:26 PST) NEW SOUNDSTREAM XTA480.4 4-CHANNEL CAR AUDIO AMPLIFIER - eBay (item 350024931215 end time Feb-21-08 16:35:21 PST) PHOENIX GOLD OCTANE R8.0:4 CAR AMP AMPLIFIER 4CH 800W - eBay (item 130199523984 end time Feb-28-08 18:54:09 PST)
Thank you. Can you give me your opinion on the following: Power Acoustik OV4-840 - 4 ohms: 80 watts x 4 • 2 ohms: 95 watts x 4 • Bridged, 4 ohms: 190 watts x 2 • PWM MOSFET power supply • Chrome top plate with blue LED indicator • 3-Way protection circuit • S/N ratio: 98 dB • Frequency Response: 10 Hz - 30, Power Acoustik SL4-680 - 680W Max 4-Channel Amplifier • 70W x 4 chan. @ 4 Ohms • 85W x 4 chan. @ 2 Ohms • PWM MOSFET power supply • protection circuitry • RCA input/output • dual color indicator LED • phantom channel - , Car Amplifiers, Multi-channel
I'd rather get this than that amp you listed Power Acoustik PS4-840 - 4 ohms: 80 watts x 4 • 2 ohms: 95 watts x 4 • Bridged, 4 ohms: 190 watts x 2 • PWM MOSFET power supply • High or low level inputs with floating ground • Tri-Mode capable • S/N ratio: 97 dB • Frequency Response: 10 Hz - 30,000
I ordered the PA, PS4-840 from Beach Audio for $80.00. I nervously called my installer today and he didn't go off on me like he did when I told him I was thinking about buying a Pioneer or a Jenson so thats a good thing.
