id like to spend about 100$ to 125$ after shipping on ebay for a 6.5 component set. any ideas, how about dimond audio or niche, are they decent? any info would help
I mean if you have like 100-125 rms per channel at your disposal I would go with the new 2007 model Alpine Type-R comps or some Polk Audio comps. If you only have like 40-60 rms or are going off of the HU. I would prolly go with some JBL GTO comps or some Phoenix Gold Rsd comps.
i have a fosgate 400.4 that i got back in 01 or 02. alpine? im going to check them out, they on ebay?
yeah.. just make sure you get the 2007 model Type R as they are a major improvement over the previous years. It has a flat face plate that goes over the woofer is how you can tell.
here it is http://cgi.ebay.com/ALPINE-SPR-17S-...0QQihZ002QQcategoryZ32819QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem plus millionbuy is a at least a reputable company to buy from. oh here is one from sonix http://cgi.ebay.com/ALPINE-SPR-17S-...3QQihZ020QQcategoryZ32819QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem carries a 1 year warranty.

thanx for the help viking but im looking for components, cdt and pierce can i find them on ebay? thats where i get the best deals it seems.
You can find good deals on ebay but not always. I remember seeing some infinity 12' perfects (subs) on crutchfield for like $179.99 buy one take one and i checked on ebay and a pair of them were well over $300. If you like the CDT's check this link http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_ID=40&mfg_account_ID=21&sort=account_name&=Update+Selection
wow those cdt's are a great deal, i checked out the specs on them ,they look good but how do they sound? my local shops only carry brands like kicker, fosgate and kenwood witch sound good, but theres other brands out there, i just want to see how far my 125$ will take me, i just might have to fork out some $$$$$!!
um ok i have done this befor, i drive a 05 dodge magnum and im going to get some more ideas from other magnum owners with stereo systems from the dodge forum. i think thats a good iea.
maybe you don't understand what I was trying to say.. and if you think that you will get better audio information from a dodge forum.. go for it. If you only have 125 dollars to spend. You need to buy your deadener and materials to make baffles and seal the doors off first to get the best sound out of whatever speakers you choose. A properly installed 25 dollar pair of speakers will sound better than your 125 dollar speaker or a 500 dollar speaker for that matter just screwed into the door sheetmetal like most people do.
o, i didnt understand, and the other forum was for ideas and posibly pics of the same exact car i have, deadener? baffels, is that like some plastic or wood between, the speaker and door frame, or is it like if the door holds a 6.5, buy a 5.25 woofer and screw a 1/4in board the size of 6.5 with a 5.25 hole cut in it and mount the 5.25 woofer onto it? dam i dont even know what i said, i dont expect anyone ells to eather!
um can i get some examples?, by the way for the price99$ the cdt's sound like a great deal! ( properly mounted),
