Hello, new guy here with my first question.
I have a Niche Audio NW12E sub 40 oz mag dual 2" voil coil 4 ohm, 250w RMS 500w Max with the Power Acoustik Gothic OVN2-800 bridged @ 360w 4ohms.
when i purchased it for a F150 it was put in a .75 cu ft truck wedge box. i still have it in the trunk of a Kia spectra now and it sounds lite she I T .....
the speaker specs call for a .75 to 1.0 cu ft sealed box. i just feal like i need at least 1.25 cu ft for a single sealed box.

the larger the sealed box the deeper it can play. but power handling suffers a bit, but it becomes more efficient.

you can build a 1.25 cf sealed and if its too big you can shrink it by adding mass inside, or stuff it with polly fill if its still too small. you can make the "see" up to .25 cf with stuffing. too much and it can sound worse.

you can maybe stuff the box now and see what happens. wal mart sells stuffing in the crafts dept. a 1lb bag cost $1 last time i saw. or 2.

Thank you Pedro. i did find one problem yesterday. it was my wiring to the sub. ive got that corrected and is sounding much better now but im still gonna try the poly fill like you suggested before i go buying or building a box. im not looking for hair blowing bass, just want a real good sounding system with a hard hit.
the sub is 4ohm dual voive coil. i actually had it wired so the amp was seeing 8ohms. i now have it wired so the amp is seeing 4 ohms i think and the sub is broke down to 2ohms per coil.

this is my manual, i am running the OVN2-800 on page 10 wired with one sub 4ohm DVC. http://www.poweracoustik.com/pa2006/manual and catalog/Amplifiers/Gothic-Series-09-(OVN).pdf

im not really understanding what it is saying. the amp says it is 2ohm stable b ut the book says 4ohm briged mono but the out put is stereo. im so confused......
