I'm sure a lot of you guys use the axillary input feature on your after-market deck, and I'm going to have to use one because the ipod cable (connected from the back of the deck) doesn't read the 2nd generation ipod touch which i got for Christmas. I was wondering if the type/kind of cable you use matters. I found cheap ordinary ones like this: http://www.amazon.com/Cables-Go-21062-3-5mm-Stereo/dp/B00007FGUE/ref=pd_sim_e_14 and then I found name branded cables like this: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8959834&st=audio+cable&type=product&id=1217029959516 The better the cable the better the sound quality? I know these cables don't cost a lot, but I was just curious. To me, there's a big difference between a 3 dollar cable and a 15 dollar cable because unfortunately i don't have a job.
i have one just like this, im sure best buy has one like it. I just looked for mine to be thick. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_8178_Monster+Cable+MPC+MCON+MINI+2M.html
No, there will be no difference. In fact there will be no difference between the Ipod Cable and the Aux cable. Both feed an analog signal to the radio. This is what I think the problem is, Older radios that use a direct connection to an Ipod will work well until the Ipods are updated. The radio is not able to update. To solve the problem, when its time to get a new radio, get one with a USB port. The sound quailty improves, Why? because the Ipod now sends a digital signal to the radio and the radio does the conversion. For now, no need to spend the extra money, there will be no noticable sound difference
hey,how did that cable work out for you bud? are you interested in selling the rear ipod cable as i am looking for one for a JVC pdr-50 thanks
