lol.....im not a scientist, and ever site i look at to find out what ap enclosures are explain it in a way that is jiberish to me. could somebody help me with this? the only part i understood is they make you sub act as if it were in a large enclosure. ok, now is it something that slides over your sub or what?? if so i think i need 2 and where do you buy them? what is the "membrane"?
aperiodic enclosures are not really for car audio use...more of HT I think. I remember reading about AP enclosures giving a flat impedance...more so for sq purposes I think. http://elitecaraudio.com/article.php?sid=18
they were used in car audio back in the day. more for space saving. 2 15's in a trunk would only take up 1/10th the space needed. i belive they were used in high dollar high end set ups back then,and for SQ. not for the boomer crowd. lol.
