Ap enclosures for subs

    lol.....im not a scientist, and ever site i look at to find out what ap enclosures are explain it in a way that is jiberish to me. could somebody help me with this? the only part i understood is they make you sub act as if it were in a large enclosure. ok, now is it something that slides over your sub or what?? if so i think i need 2 and where do you buy them? what is the "membrane"?

    aperiodic enclosures are not really for car audio use...more of HT I think.

    I remember reading about AP enclosures giving a flat impedance...more so for sq purposes I think.

    they were used in car audio back in the day. more for space saving. 2 15's in a trunk would only take up 1/10th the space needed.

    i belive they were used in high dollar high end set ups back then,and for SQ. not for the boomer crowd. lol.

    well azn you made one didnt you? they're also known as an ABC enclosure right? or am i just stoned...

    ABC box is Aperiodic Bi-Chamber. Different type of enclosure
