    TC Sounds!!!!!

I'd choose that over any of the others any day....also those TC-1000s are way underrated

Ascendant Audio Assassin 12 would be perfect under those 400 watts.

    or dls mw112

About $160 shipped from an authorized online retailer.

Of the 4 listed only the IDQ is a true SQ sub IMO, the rest are varying levels of SQL.

I don't think you will find kicker L5 or L7 for under $200.00, they are nice, more surface area because of being square.

I always liked JL audio. They have many models, I belive the low end model of the 12 is the W0. I think they are like 125bucks a pop. Dont worry about the power, at least I never did, Distortion blows speakers, power usually doesnt. GOOD LUCK

Distortion is not always a killer of speakers....exceeding the power handling of the voice coil or suspension is a killer of speakers.

I know others will come here and say yeah you can kill a 1000 watt sub with a 500 watt amp if you are severly clipping the amp...well doing this you are overpowering the voice coil or suspension...same thing though you can fry a 200 watt sub with 300 watts of clean power...not distorted but clean power

I know, some really do exceed the limit...I was thinking more in the realms of maybe going over 100watts or less (and thats not if you are going to turn your system all the way up).....I should have been more clear then with the "Dont worry about power" comment. Going over 500watts is a pretty bad idea.

A neat thing called Discplacement limited power handling is what is key in alot of this.

A 500 watt sub can be overexcurted in a wrong box when driven ith 100 watts of power.

So many folks dont understand or even car to know what the limitations are. They just want more power too make it ouder....

To those that dont want to educate themsleves, they will be the ones naking the sub manufactures rich and call a good sub a crappy sub ........

Displacemnet limited power handling is what the we all need to pay attention too.....NOT the woofes maximimum thermal limits.....
