Any decent Dynomat substitutions?

I was looking for a cheaper alternative to Dynamat. I have a gut feeling that 1/2 the price of it is for the name.

I saw another forum post about this material from Mcmaster that is equivalent, but the price seems too good to be true.

Has anyone ever used this? If not, what did you use instead of Dynamat?

If its got weight..got density....got a way to stick yo a resonant surface..it will work. period. The transferance of acoustic energy to heat is the primary method of this stuff. So even slapping on a coat of roofing tar to your door panels will work.....and done in enough layers would probably work better and cheaper than dynomat... ya ....really.....
