I know I know, there are tons of these post in the car stereo amplifiers thread but I need some help. I'm possibly getting a Diamond Series d6 12" 2ohm sub, running at 600watt rms. I was looking into getting a power accoustic amp but now I'm not so sure to get one. I've heard great things about Rockford amps (via friend) but see that they are relativly expensive. Give me some suggestions on what I should get for my Sub. What amp, why, and about how much. I'd like a suggestions on some affordable and some hi-end stuff too.

I currently have Lanzar Vibe installed to my Infinity Kappa series speakers, not bad, haven't had issues yet. But please I would appreciate your help

AnY sub is a good sub if put nto the RIGHT enclosure..... And I do mean ANY sub.....

An OLD Orion 250 HCCA would kick your ass!!!!!

    And you WOULD like it!!!!

Basicaly, an amp rated to run at 1 ohm mono would be the way to go.....But the ol Orions would be best if you can find one.....and can respect the power.....they aint no pussy amp, they ae a HOT ROD and WILL smoke and blow chinks if abused....jus6t like a top fuel dragster.....

but isn't that to much power for the diamon d6 I found one on ebay for 230+ running at 800rms.

Just curious, still kinda learning about amps and ohm rating

Ludo....speakers don't run at a certain wattage...like a 12 inch sub running at 600 watts rms is incorrect...doesn't even make sense...saying the subwoofer can handle "X" power is correct.

Hifonics makes some pretty tough amps for a decent price...or you could look into the Elemental Designs Nine.1 amp....power output of 1200 watts at 1 ohm...at 12.5 volts DC...but don't worry you can adjust the gain for however much power you want

    um... lanzar- no!
    rockford newer stuff - no!
    and forget about sony..

It's worth it to spend the extra money on good quality new equipment.. look for jl, hifonics, infinity, alpine, or if you are looking for a cost effective, quality option, go with the jbl gto series.. You won't be disappointed if you spend the extra money on equipment that will last, and perform.

    old kenwood, - yes!
    old rockford - yes!
    old orion - Hell Yes!
