I am trying to find an amplifier to match with two Pionneer TS-W2501D4s

The subs are Dual Voice Coil at 4 Ohms; Nominal Power Handling 800 Watts, MAX. 2500 Watts.

I am intending to wire all 4 Voice Coils in Parallel to load the amp at 1 Ohm, or wire 2 Voice Coils in Serial and then in parallel with the other 2 coils to load the amp at 1.6 Ohms.

I thought I had a Amplifier that would maximize these speakers, but as it turns out is only 225W x 1ch @ 4ohm bridge.

So I am looking for an amp, please provide suggestions... I was thinking a Mono Class D. What would I need power wise, 1600W Nominal at 1 ohm? Would it be ridiculous to have 2xAmps at 800W Nominal?

    Thanks for any guidance.

A hifonics 1610d amp would be good. Its 1600 watts at 1 ohm.

I used to have a hifonics 1200d and it was awesome for the price so im sure the 1610 is good.
