hey guys i am having problems with my amp. its a infinity 5350a 5 channel amp.. the problem is when i connect the sub to the amp and turn the gain up, it gives the sub lots of excursion but not sync with the music, just moves it, any ideas to what it might be?
so all the other speakers hooked into the amp sound ok? just the sub that sounds messed up? Are you running the sub at a 4ohm impedance? you may want to test the channel.. try this, disconnect 2 channels (good channels) and bridge the two and test the sub out just to rule out any problems with the sub. if all looks ok when you bridged the channels for the sub then your sub channel on the amp must be bad. i figured it out, for this amp if you have a subwoofer rca in the dash you connect both red and white terminals if not the rear rca you just connect one, which is the red input of the rca's...gave me a headache but sounds awesome now but thanks for your suggestion.
i didn't follow what happnd but glad to hear it's fixed, I had quite the mystery on my hands yesterday in my system, amp went out, turned out to be a loose remote wire. little sht like that will ruin your whole day
