i have 2 amps one for bass and a visonik 400 wall 2 ch for my my 4 speakers for the past 2 days when ever i raise the volume not even half way the visonik amp shuts off the red led light stays on but white power light blinks on and off and you can hear is the bass beacuse the other amp stays on
sounds like your amp is going to to protect. that's not a good sign. you should check you wires connected to the amp. make sure no wires are touching eachother, make sure that your ground wire is properly grounded... Where is your amp grounded to? HOw long is the ground wire? What size gauge wires are you using for the ground, power etc.? What speakers are do you have that are hooked p the the visonik amp? did you ever upgrade your wires to at least 4 gauge?
yeap iam using 4 gauge the ground its direct on to the metal of the car under the seats speakers are sony 3 way its wierd because it been doing this only 2 days without warning the radio is a jvc and it happens when i take the volume up to 14 wich is not very high and at start up so the amp is still cold
ok i just saw you new post maybe one of your speakers is causing a short. try running one speaker per ch to test it.
yeah visonik isn't a good brand but you have it already so lets work with it. Like pedro said. test each speaker to the amp. there may be a short
ok i checked i have one rear speaker that womt work and the other one sounds lower than the other 2 front
This same thing happened to me... I would have the volume low and you could hear the music but once you turned it up enough to have some bass the other speakers quieted down so much and you could only hear the sub. It was caused by a bad battery. It was super old and once my amp wanted all that juice to power my sub all my power went to the amp and sub so everything else was running on practically nothing... I don't know if this would help you but that's what I'm aiming for.. If the battery is old try replacing it... also check your alternator... it may not be recharging the battery fast enough to compensate for all the power your sub amp needs. Does this happen when your driving or when your car is off? If your car is off then it's obvious you just need to run your car so the alternator can recharge your battery. Just a simple precaution. Hope this helps!
