I have two Infinity Reference 1252 subs, right now i have an old profile amp on them not putting out enough power, so its time to upgrade. First i was thinking Infinity just to keep it all the same but then figured it really doesnt matter. So im looking for some thoughts on the Alpine MRD-M1005 vs. the Infinity Reference 611a
I had two kappa's run off of that alpine amp. sounded great. With the gain all the way up (don't recommend it) my rear view mirror would just shake so hard that it pointed to the floor. crazy. I then blew one of the kappa's.. and bought two 12W3v3's and ended up selling the system to my friend. he hasn't had any problem with the amp or the subs. so I haven't used the Infinity amp.. but I've heard they're good.
I've had that amp....great amp wit loads of power...real power too. I even had it wired at 1 ohm (do not recommend) on a couple Type Rs...took it pretty well until my voltage dropped and the amp cut out...but it has some nice clean power I'd pick the Alpine over the Infinity any day
Amps off ebay?? Yea, kinda what i figured, i havnt heard to many people using ifinity amps but nobody has any bad things to say about alpine so thats probably the way i will go. As far as buying one off ebay, can you trust people doing it that way, or how does that work? How do you know what your getting?
