So I got all excited and bought new alpine type R components about a week ago. .Today I came accrost a new set of type X components for not much more than what I spent for the R's. How much better are the x's over the r's other than about $60.00 of my hard earned money? The R's run at 110 RMS..The X's run at 75 RMS...I guess I just always thought the more power the better? But I also feel like you get what you pay for, with anything audio related.
what makes a speaker the materials that are used make a speaker better the cross over the construction and the design if you look at better speakers like morel and focal and diyna they don't have more rms. Cheaper speakers use materials like a paper cone or plastic cone over a carbon fiber or teflon based also the tweets on good speakers are usually silk. But sound quality is one of those things you have to hear for your self. The speaker doesn't have to cost more than another to be better look at a jl w7 compared to tc sounds I'd rather have tc but thats my opinion.
hm. Thanks for the reply. Its just pretty tough to pick the prefect set up for a car without the setup being IN the car. Im done stressing and trying to make it perfect. Im sure whatever I end up with will sound much better than factory. Thanks again for the reply.
those type rs will be better I have some type s 6x9s and they keep up loudness wise but there not the cleanest sounding speakers I owned but the also coaxials
