? about MECP certification

    I am thinking about getting mecp certified so I can get a job installing at best buy or some other store. How hard is the test, and do I need to buy the study guide? If you have taking this certification please give me some advice. Thanks

    You will need to buy the basic study guide before you take the test. Read it and take notes. Then take the practice exam online and see how good you do. The test isnt that hard if you study.

    Definately get the MECP basic installer guide. Im not sure how much the test has changed in the last couple years...( took it in '05 ) but its the basic test so im sure much hasnt changed, but I have the book so if u have any questions...holla. The test is easy as long as u get there on time. I couldnt find the place the first time and got there with 20 mins. left to go. Only scored a 74. Next time passed with a 96. Everything on the test coincides with the book.
