Personally, I would amp both the bass and the mids. The Sony amp looks like the weak link in your system. If you only use it on your highs then your probably OK. For the sub you really need something with guts. Also consider building your own box. We can help you there also. Anyway welcome to the forums
thanks man, this forum is very nice, i like it a lot, i was checking some posts, people with knowledge on sound, im kinda noob at it so i came here to learn something... now about the installation, my best friend built the box for me, he told me that is perfect for my subwoofer... the B52 sound very good already, so that is what i dont know what to do, amp them, or only the subwoofer since my amp is kinda sissy
your sub is rated at 35-200 watts RMS so if you bridge two channels of the amp it's says it will give 300x1 so you should be good. Then use the other two channels for the mids. If you want better bass then you may want to take Ranger's advice and make you own vented box to give you more bass. What kind of box do you have now?
i dont have the dimensions right now, the thing is that the box its considerably big, with templated glass on the front, and a resonance cylinder... When i was at the store, there was a guy testing his new subwoofer on a box (same as mine) it was awesome, the entire car shaked, pretty nice, that is why my friend built it for me like that dood's box... hope its good
thanks for the advice man, tomorrow ill make the installation with my friend... i just wanted to add some bass by the time, as soon as i get more money ill buy a decent amp, i just ran out of cash
your bass should be pretty good. ONe thing though. are your 6x9's mounted on the rear deck of your car? if so, you may want to seal them off by making small boxes because when you have the sub hittin' in your trunk it may blow the 6x9's.
I think that it will sound pretty good, but once you get some more cash I would deffiantely upgrade that amp bro.
i have the boxes for the mids aswell... THANKS VERY MUCH for this guys, now ill install this ASAP tomorrow, as soon as i finish the installation ill post some pics of my trunk
ok man I'll try to get some tomorrow or Friday, it sounds so sick now, but I can't wait to hear it after I build my new box which I should start building next weekend I just need to get some more money.
Yeah, i'm in the process of doing the same thing but i also ran short on money. Hopefully i'll have my new box with it's cladding done this weekend. I hope.......
