just my opinion, any 4ch amp such as punch, mtx, kicker and 200 to 300 watt rms will do just fine, just make sure it has a crossover and hi and low pass filter. i personally like the punch. you could get one one ebay for about 150$
any clean mid powered 4ch amp will do fine.. look for a low thd% and you should do nicely. just stay away from sony.. look at the eclipse, infinity, alpine, etc..
hows this one: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-SrRZXEUjnUv/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=120&I=065GT40 or http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=3807 or http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=245 or http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=3807 or http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=5163
50 watts rms per channel is fine for those speakers...all of those amps listed will do perfectly...I would take that Pioneer as last resort
It Dosent Sound Like $ Is An Issue, But If It Was Theres Other Websites To Do Your Shopping. Just Saying I Like To Save As Much As I Can, Then Use The $ I Saved For Beer While Im Installing It All In. And Yes Those Are All Good Amps
RMS is one of the things you need to be looking at. If you wanna play it safe, the 60 watts RMS would be a good idea. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-2TSDo8orWgI/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=120&I=113KAC8402 Now if you dont plan on turning the bass way up on the radio or cranking the gains to max on the amp, then you should be OK going to as much as 75 watts RMS. That my 10- cents anyway
Ranger, Are the kenwood KAC's also good for subs? Like the: KAC-8152D KAC-9102D KAC-9152D Just curious...
Yes, the D class amps are pretty good amps. Now we have only sold a couple of Kenwood D class amps, most of our customers want "bang". Amps like Kenwood and Alpine are concerned with Sound Q, while amps like Planet Audio is all about loud. Which is what most of our customers want.
I've had experience with the KAC-9102D....VERY tough amp. I've had it wired at 1 ohm (amp is only 2 ohm stable) to a couple 15 inch Kicker L7's...I was underpowering them but I was like what the hell the equipment isn't mine...the amp ran fine as long as I didn't push it too hard...it WOULD shut off if the gain was turned up too high but at the level where it didn't turn off it was still loud as SH!T and never shut off due to overheating...it got pretty damn hot though. I would never recommend wiring it at 1 ohm though...only the 9152D
azn, i still can't make up my mind with what subs and amps i'm gonna get. I want to get them in july (when my father is going back to the U.S) but i'm still confused. Orginally, i wanted to go with PG octane series with Infinity perfects but now i'm not sure anymore. I know that i want 2 12's cuz i have a ton of space for them. I like the price of the kenwoods. What subs would be good for the 9152D amp? Oh, im going vented with the enclosure (i'm gonna need help with that as well once i decide what the phuck im gonna get).
