I'm doing a fibreglass encloseur in a FJ Cruiser,it must be stealth and not take up floor space.I been making templates out of cardboard,as the box must follow the contours of the truck and sit over the passenger wheel well.So far the largest volume I can achieve is 1.2 cu ft, playing with WinISD forcing the alignments.I need a 3"ID port 13 .2"long,I must use a 90 in order to fit the port on the baffle plate,Are there any problems with 90's in a port tube?
No problem with a 90-degree turn, only count half the length of the turn as part of your total length. Other than that you should run into no problem. Why are you tuning so low? (just curious)
Trying to get the flattest curve I can, down 3db is 29 tuning frequency 32,apparently the Infinity 10's work well tuned low,Correct me if I'm wrong but I would rather have my EQ settings require as little adjustment as possible.I like stuff like bach,Jennifer Warren ,Clare Marlo,Quincey Jones,JeffBeck a lot of dynamic range
I have several of the discs you mentioned! nice taste in music..... If your gunna be sittingin a parking lot all day, and never drive around, or are qoing for SQ tryin to reach the lowest registers, fine, tune low....But in real world driving, road noise will eliminate alot of the very bottom octaves of music, and to top it off, even alot of those nicely recorded discs dont have enough consistant bottom of the barrel sub bass. That in conjunction with a 10 inch driver, which wont move ALOT of air, I think you would be better off going slightly higher in tuning, this would yeild a more "usable" curve in the vehicle under real world driving conditions. Just my 2 coppers
Another picky person, I like that. I have my bass, mid, and treble controls set to 0 and I went to great lengths to make that happen. I like picky people:lol:
