ok so my friend has a pair of rockford 6x9s IB in his rear deck of a 1998 olds intrigue. i recently built him a new box and what not. so now whenever he bumps his 6x9s damn near **** themselves. so whats the best way to remedy this? i was thinkin a .3cuft sealed box for each if i can fit them. any other ideas?

that's what you should do. just build separate boxes for the 6x9's...

well i just plan on building one box with a divider because i can only come down about 4 inches. but overall it should be an easy job. im also going to be custom installing some 6.5" polk db components up front and powering them with a kicker zx200.2. i convinced my friend to get a nine.4 and a new pioneer HU down the road. so theres still a lot to do.

take some pics of the install if you can G3. one box with a divider should be fine. anything would be good just to separate them from the subs so they won't blow.

well i got his system rock solid at 14.3~ volts with another battery the big 3 and all 4 gauge wiring. i must say i didnt know 400rms was that loud. i built a box that was 4.5cuft gross tuned at 41hz for two alpine type-e 12s. he hasnt gotten his 6.5" polk db components yet so we hooked his kicker zx200.2 up to his 6x9s. what a difference that made. its actually harder for the subs to distort them now since they have more power behind them.
