well my magnum has a 6speaker boston acustic system. 2 in the dash 1 in each door and 2 in the back. question, should i replace the 4 front speakers with better 3way speakers, or forget the dash speakers and get components for the door and mount the tweeter next to it? thanx for all the help.
you could cross over dash speakers for just mid range,and get a comp set that has good mid bass output. and still have a 3 way set up.
well that sounds like i could screw that up. but replacing the speakers now with better ones is not the way to go? or should i ask what will be louder, and fuller.? 4 speakers or one set of components? sorry to be so dificult.
Your Boston Acoustic sound system sounds great just the way it is. But apperantly you want a little more from it. Have you considered just adding to what you already have. A couple of amps, one for a sub and one for an additional set of speakers. Consider adding Q-Forms and a good set of components. I am suggesting Q-Forms because the sound in your car is already pretty well balanced. We don't wanna throw that off. Q-Forms will point the additional speakers at you. This way we should not end up with any weird problems.
well i was kinda just hoping to eather replace what i have or go with the components, i do have 2 amps waiting. punch 400 4ch and a punch 8002ch
I am just giving you more ideas. I've been in the door of a Charger and if I remember right the speaker in the door was larger than a 6-1/2. Putting in something smaller will result in a little loss of low end up front. This might not be a problem if your adding a sub.
i thought the magnum had an 8 in the door to, it sure did sound like it , but i just wanted something more and yup ill be adding a 10in woofer, probobly a L5 kicker. im still not exacly sure what to do in front thow.
well actually thats the way it is now. im useing a punch 400 4ch to power the 4 front speakers plus an old 12 mtx woofer in the back were the spare gose. and it dosnt really sound better or louder i should say than the stock amp.but maybe its cuz the back speakers arnt hooked up? my wifes car has 4 sony speakers and the other mtx woofer with a 300 4ch punch amp and i was impressed, maybe becouse it had an even sound 2 in the front and 2 in the back, plus its a smaller car, plus the boston speakers still looked kinda crapy like every other stock speaker.
