Hey guys I have a friend that has 300 dollars to buy 1 sub amp and 2 12 inch woofers. He has a dual ported box already. I was wondering about the lower end amps (crunch, Power acoustic, Lanzar) How close do they come to rated power? I do remember reading an article in the crunch pzi1500 a while back and it tested really well. But the others?? What about subs? Anything off the top of your heads would save me time, thanks!

I just bought a power acoustic amp and i like it, I have been told here that Crunch is alright, and I have been told that Lanzar amps suck. I have always heard that elemental designs were pretty good for subs.

My friend has some of those power basses, and he said he liked them.
    PowerBass S-12D - 12" Dual 4 ohms Subwoofer • 600 watts Max • 300 watts RMS • 4-Layer Black Paper/Wool Cone • 4-Layer Foam Rubber Surround • 2" Voice Coil • Frequency Response: 29 - 450 Hz - , Component Subwoofers, 12" Component Subwoofers - Sonic El

And i have always heard alpines are good.
    Alpine SWE-1242 - 750 Watts Peak Power Handling / 250 Watts RMS • Frequency Response : 28Hz - 1kHz • Sensitivity : 89 dB • 64 oz Magnet - , Component Subwoofers, 12" Component Subwoofers - Sonic Electronix

Ranger here installed two of those PowerBass 12s in his sons car off 460 watts and he said its LOUD. Louder than his son's friends JL 12's.

I just installed a Crunch PZi.1000.1 in a Jeep this week...its a nice amp for around 100 bucks online.
