Alright, my friend has a 2001 4Runner and he wants a system. He listens to screamo music but he wants bass. His friend has 2 JL Audio W0's in a sealed box and an Alpine MRP-450 amp and he likes how it sounds.

I suggested a Kicker 06ZX750.1, 2 Kicker 05CVR12's, 6.5" CDT speakers up front, and 4" CDT speakers in back (that's how the sizes worked, weird I know), knukonceptz wiring, and a Panasonic headunit. He said he didn't like the look of my Panasonic headunit though. We already ordered the 4 speakers for $160 shipped. The amp is $260 shipped, the 2 subs are $155 shipped, the wiring is $43 plus shipping, pay me $60 for the box, and we haven't decided on a headunit. I think he's going to like a sealed box better. Does 1.25 cubes per sub sound right? Subs facing up or back? I'm going to be doing the install by the way.

the best way to know if up or facing back is to test how it sounds yourself...my box which is ported...i dont know if sealed is different...facing up it decreased .5 dBz

depends on the box dan. i turned my box up and my bass output increased by alot!the port used to fire into the pass side now it fires to the drivers side.

all i know is that i had to turn the bass down ALOT! use to run it at -5 now its to -24.for my head thats all the way.

thats also on less power(350 to 220rms).cause i rewired my amps, but thats just in my case.

if you make the box.make it so it so it can be mounted either way.up or back.

Okay, does a sealed, 2 chamber, 1.25 cube per chamber, box sound good?
