any ideas on wich sub(s) will sound better in a properly made ported box, using a punch 800a2- 800rms. i just cant seem to make up my minde. remember(2 10'l5 vs 1 12'l7).
which will sound better????? the ones that sound the best no doubt....lets get real here...... AAALL speakers have a good sound when put in the proper enviorment..... the real question here is what do you want out of our system??? LOUD and boomy? accurate and musical? a combination of the 2? (which most people want) Now, what kind of car are they going into? a 1975 Chevette? 2006 Ferrari? 1927 Hudson Essex with a straight six? Or a 1967 Cessna 172 with no flaps and a broken prop?
I just want too add one more thing here......... It amazes some folks when they listen too a system and are blown away by the sound quality, then discover, and are blown away even more, when they learn that the speakers are cheap ass radio shack highs and pyle driver subs......with a 150 buck cheap ass amp runnin the entire system............ what I am geting at is that whatever subs you choose, they wil perform good IF the proper box is built for your needs and car/truck/airplane/boat/stealth bomber/go kart/hovercraft's acoustics.......................justy be sure to use a beer can for the port, budwieser works the best...their cans are the most acoustically stable!!!!!! LOL!!!
can you hear the diffrence between the 2 setups beeing in there proper ported box. becouse the price diffrence is about 30$ wich isnt much. i just want to get the most for my $.
Um...the 12's should be louder...but for both to be in there correct ported box that would sound good would be pretty big...how much space you got???
no other opinions? or any other sub with good quality and can handle at leas 800watts rms? for about 250$ ebay cost.
The 12 would be a good choice..... Lots of other subs out there if ya wanna look around......Orion, Fusion, Check out some subs at parts express.com.............. You can make great sound without spending alot of money, the box is the key factor in any subwoofer installation, its just as important as the speaker itself......Look for high efficiency and a volume requiremnet that meets your needs........And I, as always, recomend a vented enclosure, for whatever music you listen too (unless you like to beat the shiit out of your speakers)
I had the 10w7 and then 1 13w7 befor the 2nd 13w7 came in but never had 2 10's. I was much happier with the sound of a 13.5 (Granted I didnt have a 12) it just seems to go lower and sound better but the 10 was a good sound just not compared The 10 was ported in the JL box the 13's are sealed and I prefer the sealed and yes they are very loud. Just my O.
lol dude...if you're gonna keep posting on this forum it would help everyone else if you could use some punctuation and not type in one long run on sentence because it is hard to understand what you are trying to say and what you mean i mean some of the people on here may understand but for most of us it would be helpful to use some sentence structure and punctuations lol
