Just got my Jeep yesterday. The factory radio does not work and before I replaced it I wanted to figure out why it didn't work. I did some research and learned that the factory infinity amp was under the back seat. I lifted the seat and found no amp whatsoever. What I saw was a mangled mess of wires where the amp should have been. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions as to how I can fix this problem. Is there a way to wire things without the factory amp? I suck when it comes to stereos, I know how to put them in the dash and that's as far as it goes so any help with the missing amp issue would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking for the cheap easy fix, but any ideas are welcomed. Thank you.
Yes, you can wire around the amp.
