My dodge spirt starts and runs for about 1/2 hour or a little longer and then dies out. It will restart and die out in 30 seconds or less it keeps starting but continues to die. I brought it to one guy and he unplugged a wire fron the tranny said it was somthing to do with the overdrive but it does the same thing. This car has a 4 cylinder motor and auto trans.

yup.. sounds like a severely clogged fuel filter, or a fragged out fuel pump.

pretty sure it has nothing to do with the overdrive..

yup.sounds like the fuel pump.i had the same thing happen to my gmc jimmy.have someone hook up a volt/ohm meter to the pump, start it then read the voltage when it dies.if the voltage does drop, then it stalls.then you know for sure.
