    1973 Camaro Box Help

Here is what I have to work with. I am going to put 2 10" subs and the component speakers facing up in the rear deck of a 73 Camaro. Any ideas from the experts would be appreciated.

What size box do I need for the subs. I want them facing up at the back window.

2 10s in the center and others on outside.

About 10" is as far as I can go towards front of car. Then the trunk slopes down towards back. So I could angle down some towards back of car if needed.

ive only seen one set up in an old car like yours and it was 2 free air 15's. the trunk was the box.

if you do that then the 6x9's will need to be sealed off from the subs.

I need to build a box for the Infinity subs. Then I need to install the component set on each side of the subs.

ok, if your going to put speakers on the rear deck of the car then you'll have to close or seal them off. you could make little boxes for each of the speakers. The reason for this is if you have the subs pumping in the back of the trunk then your little component speakers will blow because of the sound pressure that the subs will be giving.

you spend good money on the quarts so I would seal those off so the subs won't destroy the speakers.

I was going to build boxes for the subs. I think I have room to make it work.

Older cars are usually a challenge.

Maybe this might give you an idea, I did this one a few years ago
