   Just bought an Alpine 12" dual 4 ohm sub(swr-1242d). Rms is 500 watts. I will be puting it in a small sealed box. Now I need an amp, Any suggestions?? I like Hifonics amps, but open for any suggestions.

   Kenwood 9102D or 9152D are good for their price.

   Budget would be about $200 or less. Are you talking about the old or new Kenwood amps?? I thought Kenwood was known for their decks.

   For 200 or less the kenwood...the newer ones...not the old school square ones...even though those are pretty good too...but for your price range i'd say the KAC-9102D or KAC-9152D
   
   Both are good amps
