i know a miata is a strange car to try and put a system in but what can i say i love a challange . so far eveything's workin out for me . it took 4 or 5 trys before i got the right sub setup .
We're here. lol so what's your set up in your miata? verts are harder to do installs in. i'm interested to see what you have in your car.
all i can do is tell you for now give me some time and i'll get pics up . i'm running two PPI PCX-124 12" subs in an angled truck still box in the trunk . my amps are placed behind the seats . my sub amp is a ARC FD 600.1 . the other amp is a ARC FD 4150 which is pussing my component set . i'm also useing a KINETICK HC 600 battery backup and a POWER ACOUSTIK 2farad cap . yea i know a whole lot of stuff for an '02 Miata .
i got the car in '06 and have tried 4 or 5 different sub setups and this one is the best so far . got brave enough to put it on a TRUE SPL meter at a local shop that has been helping me through this process and hit a 136.9 db to a 137 db . did some fine tuning since then plan on going back and trying again .
i know that a 136.9 to a 137 are not big #'s but i'm talk about a 2 seater soft top convetible . with a trunk too small even for a golf bag .
hey, what's important is that you're happy with it. ARC make some really nice amps. what kind of comps are you using?
Arc FD 6000 . went with them because they're waterproof . but plan on upgradeing the 6.5 to a lanzar 8" 3-way . my car came stock with a bose system and the 8"s will fit with no cutting on the doors .
Here is a Miata I did a few years ago http://www.caraudiotalk.com/audio-forum/showthread.php?t=5835&highlight=mazda+miata
