When i got my tv i orriginally got a 38" Trinitron Flatscreen(i think it was 38 , but it was too big for my entertainment center(too deep)
So i took it back (circuit city) and went to get the same one smaller, and they had a 36" that was open box, never used, just open box, and i got it for a couple hundred less! with the same warranty and all that....

Hmmmm. S-video should be dramatically better than a composite connection, especially on a big screen. Component video should be slightly better still. Sandt, doesn't your DVD player have progressive scan outputs (you're TV does)? That makes a dramatic difference in quality when viewing DVD's. You can put your face an inch away from the screen and not see scan lines. Dot crawl and other artifacts are generally nonexistent.

BTW, Sandt, I remember the crazy good deal you got on your RPTV a month or two ago. My little brother works at Rent-a-Center and I just bought a 51" widescreen Sony for....$1300, brand new, straight from the factory. That's not a typo, either. It was either that or a 55" Phillips widescreen for $1300. Sony is much better, so...That's the main reason I haven't ordered my B12. First I bought my Def. Tech sub to complete the audio portion of my home theater, then I bought the TV. Those two purchases literally emptied my bank account :( Looks like I'll be eating Top Ramen for the next month...I'll be sending you my order soon, though.

That is crazy cheap. I liked the picture quality of the Sonys (actually one of the best I saw, aside from the Elites and Pioneers), but the silver case just distracted my attention too much. I got mine really cheap, as wholesale on it is about $2100. But that $1300 is just sick. I always liked Sony HT, and I'm sure that TV will be awesome.

I may try putting the Svids in my #2 input, maybe the issue is in the TV, I switched my recievers in the room thinking (hoping) it was an issue in the reciever, but to no avail. I know with all the Svid cables I bought that it can't be in them ;) . I heard it was ghosting that was common in the Svids, but maybe that was wrong.
