I have a SIRIUS Satellite Radio "Stratus 5" brand new in the box, never been used that I found at a garage sale still in its original box. What I can find inside is dated 2008. Including a gift card from SIRIUS thats long since expired. Looking to possibly put it in with a JVC/Kenwood Y21-8640-10 that I have here, in place of a newer "$99 special" Sony something or other that I hate, (it came with my Durango when we bought it a year and 1/2 ago, I dont think the Sony is more than 2 years old) Im wanting to put the SIRIUS unit and the Kenwood together in my 2003 Durango. I already bought the wiring adapter kit for the Durango and have all the connections soldered to the supplied radio harness. I have a 2nd Y21 here, that may go in my 01 Durango. I also have another SIRIUS head unit here similar to this old one, that's only about 1-1/2 years old (bought that for my wife Christmas 2023). I havent taken the newer SIRIUS unit out of its box yet, I did the 2008 model, and looks like I have to run it seperate from the head unit and run its (the SIRIUS unit) seperate antenna up the windshield pillar "close" to the factory antenna so they can "talk to each other? No way to plug it right into the Kenwood HU direct?
