How do I use app mode on pioneer avh1400dvd? I have an iPhone 4 so it is compatible and using an ipod cable connected to the USB port on the deck.
connect your iphone and than in the right lower corner of the double din push app mode, a disclaimer should come up (if your radio is wired properly) say ok/accept and then on your iphone pick what you want to do, netflix, youtube etc
I tried doing that and on my phone it asks to download an app and just brings me to the featured apps in the app store. And when I click app mode on the deck it doesn't do anything, I tried playing a youtube video and didn't show up. Do you actually need the Pioneer iPod/iPhone cable? Right now I am just using the regular white iPod cable.
to stream video you'll need the pioneer specific cable, about $15 on ebay, its a 2 cable combination wire.... your white ipod cable will do only audio, and SOME apps, NO VIDEO stream though
