I purchased a Sony Dxsx200x media player to install in my truck. I also purchased a wiring harness with the door chime feature to retain alerts. I've checked all my connections several times but I'm only get music out of a few speakers. It's wierd on my front passenger door plays both the tweeter and mid, on my drivers door just the tweeter plays, on my drivers rear door it only plays bass, and nothing comes out of my passenger rear door. Does any one have a clue as to what would cause this. My truck has the diesel option but does not have onstar and has just the basic 6 speaker package with CD player. Any help would be greatly appericated

My first guess would be that you have some bad speakers that you need to deal with.

But first, make sure that you have the correct interface. For your truck I believe that would be the Axxess GMRC-01. One thing I always hook up is the blue/white wire from the radio to the blue on your plug whether it has an amp or not.

All factory speakers were working prior to pulling factory radio. I also hooked up all wires by color code execpt the power antenna wire. This has me stumped for sure. I can't figure why I've got sound coming from some but not all.l

Still easy enough to check the speakers. It will only take a minute. Using a test speaker check for sound at one of the non working speaker. If you get sound then its a bad speaker. If no sound check the HU. With a volt meter (NOT a test light, it won't work) check for voltage at each speaker wire. All wires whether positive or negative should have 6 volts (about half of battery voltage) on it. All voltages should be the same. If they are the radio is probably OK, which leaves us back at the speakers.

Let us know what you find
