Hey all. I have a Rockford Fosgate POWER 1000a2 amp. I know that it has worked in the past (used to be able to SEE both my subs - now they are enclosed behind a non-folding seatback!). When I took apart my back seat and played a song - I noticed that only ONE woofer was playing. Steps I took: FIRST - I wanted to test the simplest part first - the RCA - so I took a laptop and used a basic stereo mini-plug to RCA Y cable. This technically tests if the head unit were the problem too - since it is a new audio output source. Same issue - only playing out of the Left woofer. SECOND: I took the wires for the non-working right sub - and put them to the left channel (working) output on the amp. The subwoofer works fine - so both subs are working. THIRD: For amusement - I put the left sub wires into the right output - and sure enough - no play... So I appear to have an amp that is only outputting on the Left channel. What could cause this? What are my options? Is there anything I missed in troubleshooting? Can this amp be repaired? AAAAAAAAAAAHHH lol
Is this something that I would try to get repaired locally? Or is there a well known place that I would mail it to?
