Hey guys im completely new to this but i want to redo my sounds in my car and i want to put some Alpine SPR-50C components in my front doors and on the rear parcel shelf just leave some sony coaxials i already have there, and put maybe and 8 or 10 inch sub in the boot, my question is can i amp the front components and the sub of a 4 channel amp and power to rear coaxials from the HU for some rear fill?

Would powering the components from the amp and the coaxials from the HU stop me being able to fade between them through the HU? or would it not make a difference because its not changing the signal to the speakers only changing where their powered from?

All advise is welcome, please help me haha

    Thanks, Aled

A four channel amp can power a sub and your front speakers. You should not run into any problems. As far as fading, you should be OK as long as your HU has separate RCAs for Front, Rear, and Sub. So if you want to power a sub and your front speakers with one amp, then use the Front RCAs and the Sub RCAs. Powering the rear speakers with the deck will be fine.

i forgot about the headunit... my headunit only has one pair of RCA's, will i need to get a new one? or will it work but not have full control over fading?
