I want to replace my blown 6x9s in my 2001 grand am. The problem is that it has a monsoon sound system and from my understanding it has "matched" drivers. Can anyone make a recommendation for a set of drivers for the rear deck of this car? Thanks, Keith
Anyone? I know it's not advanced audio or anything. But I am just looking for decent sound. If I need to get OEM replacement drivers, I will do that. If you can recommend a good mid range quality speaker, please do. Kmagyar
lol, bump. I am still looking to replace these after 5 years!! While researching ....again, I saw this thread. Can someone let me know if I should buy these http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000K0080W/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER or go with aftermarket. I have heard infinity kappas are a good selection. I dont want to get oo fancy, this is a second car. Thanks, Keith
If I remember right the Monsoon speakers had two pairs of speaker wires to each speaker. One set for the midbass driver and one for the tweeter. The crossover was built into the amp. You want to use a speaker like this Infinitys can be used, dont use the external crossover and hook up the wires to the correct parts of the speaker
