if you have piece of rubber with you just apply some glue or silicone to it & put it on the cut. I will not be picture perfect job but at least you will be able to stop future damage.

thats what i want to prevent for the next month or so, i want to go up a model to he w3012 or 13 which ever is current. really like the sound of these w3011, and match my amp perfectly.

i know its not perfect or likley recommended and replacement/recone is the only option, but as i have twin subs running and replacing in a month when i get paid (as these ones are s/h after all) but i just wanna stop any further ripping, and still use them for now

well i have multipurpose silicone, which is quite strong and flexible, rtv gasket, altho thats rubbery it does split easy. and then innertube repair glue. but i may see if i can use some proper stuff from kwikfit, a good mate is the manager there, and i know there tyre repair glue is proper sticky and does stay flexible. but thinking the silicone may be best, it sticks really well and stays really flexible.
