Hello, and thanks for finding the time to read and respond to my question. I have a Soundstream EGA 1000.4, and on two channels of this amp I have two MA Audio 80xe 8" DVC speakers bridged 4ohm. My question is would I be able to run two polk DB audio 6.5" and two Polk Audio DB 4"x6" off of other two channels? This amp has dual crossovers built in. Questions or concerns please advise. Drew 6.5" are rated @ 100w RMS 4"x6" are rated @ 120w RMS
I'm assuming you are wanting to run the 6.5 in the front & the 4x6 in the rear. You can run all 4 speakers off the front two channels but you will not have fade. Since you have a truck I recommend running the rear speakers off the HU and the front speakers off the amp.
Hey guy thanks for your response, why the front and not the rear off of the amp? Do you reckon the subs and 6.5 on the amp would drowned out the rear speakers?
You want most of the sound to come from the front. When you go to a concert does the sound come from behind you? I'm not saying you have to do it the way I suggested and you might not like the way it sounds. Some don't run any rear speakers at all. If I could figure out where I could add another pair of front speakers to my car I would as speakers in the rear are just about worthless.
