Alright guys. Putting in 4 6-1/2 inch speakers in my Civic (thats what fits). Ready for a really nice sound system that can play all genres: rock, rap, death metal, dubstep, jazz, you name it. Keep in mind I have 5.1 rca output that will go into some amps then to the speakers. I want the speakers powered by amps. I want name brand quality sound that will impress my friends and make our ears very happy I want to be able to blare my music loud and proud with no distortion and good bass etc.. I have the sub for now which will be replaced once I get this part of the audio system done. Still debating how I am going to do the center speaker. I am lost when it comes to this stuff so I really need some suggestions. My budget: $400 for 5 powered 6.5" speakers. I would like to pay less but I am lenient. I don't want to waste my money I want to go big or go home. Thanks.
does that 400 include the 2 amps needed to run them too? you will need 2 amps. one 4ch for the front 3 speakers and a small 2 ch for the rears or another 4 ch for the rear and one sub running off of the rear channels bridged.
Actually, If I'm not doing the 5.1 could I still use the 5.1 outputs but just not use the center output or would that make it sound odd because it is missing the center channel?
