So I just got a 08 VW GTI and I was looking to get some suggestions and advice since Im looking into putting a whole new audio system into my car. You guys were very helpful in the past so Im hoping yall can help me once again!

Head unit wise I was pretty set on the double decker Pioneer AVH-P4300DVD since it has dvd but no navigation which is what I was looking for.

Then for the for component and coax speakers, I cant decide between the following.

    Alpine

Now when it comes to the amp and subs is where I am really debating. Being the small and fast car the GTI is, I don’t want to add too much weight and I don’t want to take up the little trunk space I already have with an amp and sub(s). The local shops that I got a quote from were offering me wither a 5 channel amp, or a multi channel amp for the speakers and a mono channel for the sub. If I were to go with subs, which way would you guys recommend and what amp and subs would you guys recommend? I currently have some RF P2’s in my care and I can’t complain with how hard they hit, but I am open to any and all suggestions you guys have. I don’t want to spend more than $1000 - $1500 and was planning on having a local shop install it. I sort of want to do it myself, but it just seems really complicated but I am up to try it I guess.

Thanks again for your help everyone, I really appreciate it!

i have a much better option for you. they may seem cheap but remember how big pioneer is compared to the other companys. speakers is only their bread and butter, but these will sitll play better than any of the ones you were looking at, and are just as much if not cheaper than all the sets you were considering. also, you can get the avh 4200 for much cheaper. the GPS unit is the only peice you're really concearned about being up to date, but pioneer didn't upgrade their GPS unit, they just release periodic updates and install them to the line as they come through, so you could go with the 4200 or even the 3200 for like 250$ and save a ton :)

Mhmm I will look into what you recommended, but I always heard bad things about pioneer speakers.
