I have a 2000 Grand Prix GT, and I just got the power window motor replaced today. Now my stereo (aftermarket) will light up, but not turn on (whether the car is on or off) and the stereo speakers make a light hissing/static sound when the car is off (keys out of ignition) and same thing when on. Not sure how they managed to do that when they only replaced a front driver window motor. Didn't know that was connected to the stereo, but here we are. Tried cleaning the connection from the faceplate to HU, but no dice! Any suggestions on what to check? Obviously we will be bringing it back, but some info/knowledge wouldn't hurt!

Seeing how all the wiring for the door speakers is in the door I'm willing to bet that they pinched, pulled, a wire when they replaced the window.

Like Promodmerc said they must of hit something when putting in the new window. They are not terribly gentle with the door panels when they replace side windows. They may have bumped the speakers as well but it is most likely an wire issue.
