looking to spend 450-500$ truck box for 2007 avalanche (under the seat) two subs amp wires not looking for very loud just some bump lets see what yall got in mind!
cheap fix Honestly if you want cheap, but decent sound, Pioneer. I bought 2 pioneer 10's, from WALMART of all places. 50 bucks a piece.so theres 100. i would go to fry's electronics for an amp.would look at a 400wrms 2 channel 4 ohm stereo amp. prolly 150. while your at walmart get the scosche wiring kit. biggest one they got says for 1200 watt, think its like a 6 gague or something. 35 bucks. i personally think you should build your own box. think everyone should build their own box, nothing as satisfying as completing an enclosure and puttin the subs in, and getting the ear distorting satisfaction of you hard(not hard) work. if you can get me the measurements of space you have avaliable, i even figure out some outer dimensions. Do you want a ported or sealed enclosure?
Well a website crutch....you know is having a sale of two 12" kickers and an amp for 400 and get a scotche kit a walmart and build a box it will kick. I always recommend kicker. Even at 400rms it will destroy!
AMP - Audiopipe mini amplifier perfect becuase its size also is 1000 watts rms AP is CEA certified http://www.vminnovations.com/product_4493/Audiopipe_APSM_1300_2000W_Mono_Mini_Amplifier.html Subs - 2 ten inch kicker l7 http://www.vminnovations.com/product_4009/Kicker_10_Inch_08S10L72_Solo_Baric_Subwoofers_Pair_.html Wiring kit - Qpower 4 guage has RCA's ground power everything http://www.vminnovations.com/produc..._2000W_Amplifier_Wiring_Installation_Kit.html EVERYTHING with shipping comes up to 430 dollars and if you enter "happy holidays" as a coupon code it saves you 34.47 getting the entire total down to UNDER 400 it becomes 396.38 SHIPPING INCLUDED then you can build or have a box built for the remaining money! these tens are bad
Well that amp is WAY WAY WAY too small for those subs. You would need 1200RMS at 4ohm x 2 to get it to work. and amp to power that would cost around 400-500 even 600 bucks.
But you really can't do that with DVC and even if you found a way you would ruin the subs because they would get soo hot. Also for the box they need 6.5 inches which wouldn't fit under a seat very well if at all. So I say do it right with a good amp with 4 ohm, or risk throwing away money.
yes you can thats exactly what they are built for easier wiring...and more wiring options and they will only get too hot if they have too much power goinjg into them and with that amp they wont it will be almost perfect and you can easily fit them in a truck box...hell i have one right now that is in the worlds smallest seal box known to the l7 world and while it dont reach potential it still hits hard
i used to run 280 watts to my L7 10 a few years back. and it "worked" just fine, lol. it had a 600 rms rating too. hell 50 watts would move the sub, it won't get as loud as possible, but it will work.
what kind of room do you have under your seats? you might be able to get a good single 10 or even a 12 to work in a sealed box. and still have room for an amp back there too, and stow it all under the seat. i will vouch for those AP amps.. they are cheap but do work well. i know quite a few friends with them and they love the **** out of them. you say you dont want very loud... so maybe a 10 in 1.0 to 1.25 sealed on about 400 to 500 watts. that should do just fine. do some more research to see what others are doing in their trucks.. i have two friends with the same trucks, but they have blow throughs with 18's and 5k per, lol.
