Is "Bus audio in" essentially an AUX port?

I'm looking to get a new car stereo for my truck. I have decided to get the Sony CDX-GT550UI. I have been able to locate the manual online and have looked it over thoroughly. In its rear panel diagram, it has two RCA ports listed as "Bus audio in". Is this essentially like an AUX port on the back?

I ask because I have a simple SIRIUS plug-n-play radio that I plan to use with this Sony unit. Since I am just gonna use the SIRIUS radio's 3.5" headphone output for the connection, I was originally thinking I would need an adapter that would plug into the Sony CD changer port. Then connect the SIRIUS P-n-P radio to this adapter. However, I'm wondering if I can simply use this "bus audio in" connection somehow instead. Or is this intended for something else?

It's used with bus devices, like a sirius tuner or cd changer.check your manual to see if
it has a option to turn this into a AUX input.

Some others have said the same thing about being able to possibly changed it in a menu option. However, I don't see an option in the manual for this model that allows me to change this to a regular AUX input. Instead, its looking like I would normally have to buy the Sony XA-300 or XA-C40 adapters ($99 each) in order to use this port as a AUX option. Each one allows up to 3 additional accessories; CD changer, HD radio, SIRIUS, etc.

I'm thinking Sony took out the option from within the deck in order to make & encourage people to buy one of these XA adapters if you want to use additional equipment. Makes them more money this way.

Now, I am also now seeing someone on ebay that has a simple Sony AUX cable (aftermarket I am assuming) that would allow ONE additional auxiliary input via standard RCA jacks & connects to the back of a Sony receiver. About $10 so this might ultimately be the way to go.
