I have a Premier CD/radio unit in my car that is probably 5 yrs old. Somehow I enabled those 5 beeps (that I guess remind you to take the face plate off) when it powers down. I can't find the manual any more. Does anyone know how to disable those beeps? It drives me crazy when I turn the car off. Thanks
turn the radio off, then (on mine anyways) i hold in the select button to get to the menu. there you should be able to deselect it.
Mine doesn't have a select button. Here is everything on the face: It is a DEH-P560MP (labeled: EEQ MOSFET 50X4) Buttons: SCRL, SRC-OFF, XM MODE, EQ, EQ-EX, ESC, OPEN, FUNC, AUDIO. Then along the bottom, six numbered buttons. After powering down, after a few seconds it emits these loud obnoxious beeps.
I found the manual online, and it says to turn off the warning: press FUNC until WARN appears, then selcet it off. Sounds like a slam dunk, but when I press FUNC (only works when powered up), WARN or anyting like it never appears. EDIT: I didn't read far enough. The manual had the answer. Press FUNC and hold until the clock appears, then scroll with the FUNC button until WARN appears, select it off. It's off finally...THANK GOD....it was driving me crazy.
