Then i hooked up the sub And When the power is low its works no problem once i turn the Amp and headunit up its like th draw of my brights with the amp on Kills the power almost like its to much for it My Ranger Is 1993 4x4 4.0 Maybe they used a factory amp i dont know yet i am going to work on it this week so please ask all your friends Maybe a voltage reg will work maybe i need a cap. And the Truck has a new alt, new Battery Conections, the battery could prob be replace its like 2 years old. Anyways I put it out there thanks for all the replys
If you can do it your self,do the big 3 upgrade. I would still have the complete charging and elec system checked out,but if you do a search(either on a forum or google)you'll find out what that is.Don't get a cap, search those as well and you'll find out that they're not what they're cracked up to be. One bad ground connection anywhere, can give you problems. Also having a new alt doesn't mean anything, get your stuff load tested. It's better to be sure than to assume.
By the way, thanks for the update. We're not being extreme, simply just going by what info was given. We want to help you and hope to see that this problem is resolved. I also have voltage issues right now,but I am pretty sure it's my alternator.I'm upgrading to a 180 amp in the next couple of weeks.
Could this be a sign of a weak battery or something the truck was my dads and there has never been any electrical problems SO i dont know all i did was hook up the new head unit and wire the amp?? how many watts can 2-35 amp fuses pull? my amp says 1000 watts i dont believe it anyways thanks for the info i guess for now i just dont use the brights???
